Light Footprint Travel

As sustainable travelers, our goal is to preserve the beauty and wildlife of the places that we travel to. We travel as sustainably as possible, and we are always expanding our efforts to leave a light footprint wherever we go.

Sustainable Practices We Use While Sailing

  • Raise the sails and limit use of the motor.

  • Use a mooring ball and anchor carefully.

  • Take care not to disturb sea life.

  • Refrain from "going" overboard.

  • Reuse and recycle and carry reusable water bottles, bags, plastic, everything.

  • Gather other people's trash along the way for proper disposal.

  • Purchase locally and choose "unbagged" produce.

  • Use fair-trade, local and environmentally friendly products.

  • Utilize shared restroom and shower facilities.

  • Empty our tanks away from the coast.

Tourism can never be 100% sustainable, but we can all strive to become more resilient and environmentally friendly in order to ensure the well-being of both the environment and communities we visit. A regenerative travel has the goal of maintaining harmony between the environment, society, and economy.
