As northwesterly winds throttled down to 15 to 26 knots, we sailed southwesterly through Loch Linnhe, rounding the Morvern Peninsula against a soft current into the glass-smooth waters of Loch Aline.

The 4:30 sunrise launched us the next morning into the sparkling Sound of Mull, where we tacked in gentle 12- to 20-knot breezes to picturesque Tobermory, tiny capital of an area inhabited for 3000 years, now home to Tobermory Distillery and shops and cafés such as the The Mishnish’s cozy fireside parlour.

While the weather has shoved our course to the south, hopping these delightful Scottish Isles of the Inner Hebrides has been a discovery of treasures. We’ll be back, mates! Now, onto Oban and the southern Hebrides. ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧⚓️💕
