We can hardly believe we sailed from Southampton, England, from Dover to Dunkirk, touching France and Belgium, spending delicious days in the Netherlands, then Germany, the Danish south seas, and the west coast of Sweden almost to Oslo! From remote islands with seal colonies to big city harbors, we found nice people, pure nature and culinary delights everywhere. We spent a lovely few days in Læsø, in the middle of the Kattegat, and were delighted to meet Anneli and Magnus Dahlgren, also owners of a Sirius Yachts 35 DS.

They invited us for a glass of the delicious 2014 Sirius Bordeaux as we soaked up their amazing stories like sponges. Anneli is a shipping executive; her husband Magnus is a skipper of a tug. “But I am the captain of this ship,” Anneli says with a laugh. With the Dahlgrens’ send-off, our cup runneth over with beautiful experiences. Now it’s time to turn south! I used to dread the concept of long passages — especially overnight. But now, a long journey to test our skills (in friendly winds) is inviting. So, off we go! Today the weather has changed and it’s summer again on mainland Sweden. Shorts and T-shirts! In the early afternoon we’ll throw off our bow lines once again and start our 100-mile overnight passage to Copenhagen, ETA 9:30 am tomorrow. All aboard, FB friends!! 🇸🇪🇩🇰🇩🇪🇬🇧🇫🇷🇳🇱🇧🇪🥂🍾😍❤️😎🥰
