We woke to crystaline blue skies in the Ardantrive Bay, broad reaching off Kerrera Isle toward the Sound of Jura off the North Atlantic. For our last day at sea, westerly winds softened to a silky caress. We practiced mooring and narrow fairway maneuvers as the Scottish sun shone full power, as if to tempt us to forget our return flights and sail on.

But alas, it was time for the final docking, the last waypoint of this expedition, and a few parting words from circumnavigator John Neal and amazing sailmaker Erica Georgaklis.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream.” – Mark Twain 🏴⚓️🐋💕💕
